Software and Cloud Engineering Trainer- Immediate Start

Salary: Up to £60,000 (Depending on industry experience) + plus bonuses
Hours: Full Time, Office hours are 9:00am – 5:30pm
Location: Hybrid WFH/Onsite at our city of London Office (EC3A 7LN)

Reporting into: Head of Academy
Start date: - Feb 2023 onwards. We can be flexible on the start date if you are the right person for the job.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with knowledge of the Software Engineering/Tech industry. We are happy to support you undertaking assessor training/relevant training qualifications if required. We are looking for someone to join our team, who can bring the training to life, inspire, and motivate our consultants to reach their full potential through Software and Cloud Engineering Programmes.

Xander Talent was established to provide Technical (STEM) and business-related consulting solutions to global corporates across the UK, European and North American markets. We are a rapidly growing award-winning firm, just starting our scale-up year! This is an exciting time to join our growing company and you will be a part of a team who will have influence on delivering, creating, and assessing our Software and Cloud Engineering Programme.

You will be involved in managing our training suppliers, social enterprises and charities and will work with the wider team to expand our teaching and talent pathways. You will also design and deliver suitable short courses and bitesize masterclasses to other Consultants on different pathways within Xander talent.

We would love to hear from you if you have the following skills;

Must Haves:

  • A STEM degree with a programming focus, Software Engineering Qualification (i.e. bootcamp) or experience in a Software Engineering Role
  • Several years programming experience - ideally using Python
  • Excellent front and backend programming skills. Languages: HTML, CSS, JavaScript. Framework of choice: React ,Vue
  • Experience working within a cloud environment and deploying cloud services - AWS (preferred), Azure, Google Cloud. Qualifications are preferred.
  • Comfortable working with APIs (REST and HTTP)
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills
  • Have a passion for educating and developing diverse talent

Nice to Haves:

  • Ideally, applicant will have a Level 3 Training Qualification. If not, willingness to work towards one within the first few months
  • Experience with AWS Basic Services: Lambda, Pipelines, EC2, RDS, Redshift
  • Experience building resources for a Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Developed and deployed agile applications. This can be Scrum or Kanban. Comfortable working and managing development sprints
